BLAIR LOSES THE RAG

TONY Blair lost his cool yesterday when he was put on the spot over Saddam Hussein's fate.

The Prime Minister said it was "right" the former dictator - who on Sunday was sentenced to hang - should face "Iraqi justice".

But the UK Government officially oppose the use of the death penalty around the world.

When pushed, he finally said: "We are against the death penalty, whether it's Saddam or anybody else."

He added: "That is just enough, thank you very much", and insisted there were "other and bigger issues to talk about".
