Aug. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Pakistan, a nuclear-armed state, said it successfully tested an air-launched cruise missile that can carry ``all types of warheads.''
``The missile has a low detection probability due to stealth design and materials used in its manufacturing,'' Pakistan's Rawalpindi-based Armed Forces said in a statement on their Web site today.
The Hatf-8 missile has a range of 350 kilometers (220 miles) and has an accuracy comparable to Pakistan's longer Babur cruise missile, according to the statement.
A U.S. State Department spokesman in Washington, who declined to be identified by name, declined to comment on the Pakistani statement when contacted by Bloomberg News.
