AIR BOMB PLOT SUSPECT FREED

ONE of the 11 terror suspects still being held over the alleged plot to blow up passenger planes was released last night. Tayib Rauf, 22, who had been held in Birmingham, was freed without charge. It came as a High Court judge gave anti-terror police another week to hold eight of the men. Detectives were also given an extra 24 hours to question Umair Hussain, 24, from East London. Police yesterday extended their search for evidence in woods at High Wycombe, Bucks, pictured above.
