Bomb threat closes part of midtown Manhattan

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Police shut down a section of Midtown Manhattan due to a bomb threat on Wednesday.

Vehicles and pedestrians were kept away from several blocks around 50th Street and Eighth Avenue because of an unattended black bag, a police spokesman said. The bomb squad was responding.
