KARACHI -- Former prime minister Benazir Bhutto said she would address a public meeting in Rawalpindi next month despite a suicide attack near President Musharraf's office there on Tuesday.

“I will go to Rawalpindi despite the bomb blast that occurred there today and will hold a public meeting on November 9, as per the party's decision,” Bhutto told reporters on Tuesday during a visit to a Karachi hospital.

However, she said she had decided not to lead a procession in Rawalpindi because of growing security concerns.
