Kabul talks over border activity concerns

The Presidents of Afghanistan and Pakistan are meeting in Kabul amid increasing concern about the activity of militants operating along their shared border.

Both the Afghan President, Hamid Karzai, and his Pakistani counterpart, Pervez Musharraf, have blamed each other for harbouring fighters carrying out cross-border raids.

The NATO Secretary General, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, who is in the region visiting multi-national forces and the Afghan government said terrorism would be defeated.
