September 30, 2006 (??)
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao has said Pakistan and India are global partners in eliminating terrorism as information is exchanged between both the countries frequently.
In an interview with a private television channel, the minister said India has not given any positive response regarding handing over of 58 wanted persons to Pakistan. He said Pakistan has handed over a list of wanted persons to India and similarly India has given a list of its wanted persons.
Pakistan and India are both the members of Interpol, he said, adding “In this background we will help India under the charter of Interpol.” Responding to a question, Sherpao said Rashid Rauf is a British national and a case has been registered against him in Pakistan. “We will extradite him to Britain after adopting a specific procedure,” he added.
