Terror Suspect Appears In Court
September 5, 2006
A woman charged over the plot to blow up transatlantic airliners appeared briefly in court today.
Cossor Ali, a 24-year-old mother-of-one, is charged with failing to provide information to police about her husband Ahmed Abdullah, who was allegedly planning to explode a liquid bomb on a passenger jet.
Ali, wearing a black headdress and a grey jacket and glasses, was silent throughout the 15-minute hearing at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court.
Ali's lawyer David Gottlieb told the court that he was waiting to secure an address outside of London where his client could go before making a bail application.
Magistrate Nicholas Evans remanded Ali in custody to reappear in the same court on September 19.
